Stripe Terms of Service
Introduction
Welcome to the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Michigan’s payment processing service, powered by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). By using our payment processing services, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service (“Terms”), which govern your access to and use of Stripe’s services through our platform. These Terms form a legal agreement between you, the user, and us, the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Michigan, in conjunction with Stripe.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our payment processing services, you signify your agreement to be bound by these Terms and the Stripe Services Agreement, as applicable. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.
Services Description
We provide a platform for our members and donors to make financial transactions, including donations and payments for events or merchandise. These transactions are processed by Stripe, a leading online payment processor.
User Obligations
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding contracts to use our services.
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as prompted by our service’s registration form and maintain and promptly update your information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
- Compliance: You agree to comply with all local laws and regulations regarding online conduct and acceptable content, including laws regulating the export of data from your country of residence.
Stripe’s Role
Stripe acts as a payment processor for transactions conducted on our platform. Any contract of sale is directly between you (the user) and us (the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Michigan). Stripe is not a party to these transactions, except as the provider of the payment processing services13.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy, as well as Stripe’s Privacy Policy, apply to the use of our services and are incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to our data practices.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time. We will inform you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
Termination
We may terminate your access to our services without cause or notice, which may result in the forfeiture and destruction of all information associated with your account. All provisions of these Terms that, by their nature, should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are provided “as is”. We and our suppliers and licensors hereby disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Neither we nor our suppliers and licensors make any warranty that our services will be error-free or that access thereto will be continuous or uninterrupted.
Limitation of Liability
In no event will we, or our suppliers or licensors, be liable with respect to any subject matter of these Terms under any contract, negligence, strict liability, or other legal or equitable theory for: (i) any special, incidental, or consequential damages; (ii) the cost of procurement for substitute products or services; (iii) for interruption of use or loss or corruption of data.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
